The History of the Union Army maps the birth and triumph of the Union Army during the American Civil War. The design of this print is based on the award winning History of the Confederate Army print. The map is divided vertically by date and horizontally by the three major theaters of the war. Inspired by Charles Joseph Minard's Napoleon's March to Moscow statistical graphic, many variables are charted including the size, history, and commanding generals of the 31 Union armies.
