History of the Political Parties Giant Size

Our classic History of the Political Prints are combined into a special large format edition, over 6 feet long. If you have a large space to fill at your home or office this is for you.

This graphic chronicles the birth and development of the United States political party system from 1789 until the present day. In addition, it charts the office holders in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. It has been constructed by combining two parts created by different designers in two different centuries. The left part was created by an unknown designer circa 1894 using traditional print making techniques. The right part was created 115 years later using modern design tools. The goal was to match both the design and structure of the original.

The top of the graphic maps the history of the presidency along with the executive cabinet. It includes judges of the supreme court and key members of the legislature. The main center section depicts the birth, merging, and death of each political party as streams flowing and crisscrossing across time.
